My week was pretty boring really. Our fence is finished at home, so Keaton and Ernie can roam freely and safely now. However typical Auckland weather has prevented them from stepping out so far.
I have run out of data on my phone, so took a week off the #FMSPHOTOADAY challenge, I still took some pictures for it, but I was kind of over it because I could not snap and upload all at once. However I am back for this week, so if you want to see what I have gotten up to in the previous weeks, see below:
Check back next week to see what I captured this week.
My Monday started off with this cup of coffee, I thought the caption on it was most fitting for my Monday.
We are having our kitchen redone, I cant wait for it to be done. I am currently trying to decide what sink I like, hubby likes one, and I like another, so trying to see which one will work best with our space. I will post a before and after on here once its complete (I don't want to scare everybody off with the one that is in there now). The rest of the week involved looking online for kitchen "stuff" and colour combinations to go with. Oh yes, and work...naturally.
I had to catch the bus to work on Thursday. It was so cold, and wet, luckily I can walk from our house to the bus stop, and it was a short walk. While waiting for the bus, I did what any good blogger does, snapped a picture of my surroundings!
Saturday was the Sky Tower Firefighters Climb. 750 Firefighters basically ran up the Sky Tower in Auckland, to raise money for Leukaemia and Blood Cancer. 1,103 steps, 51 floors, and carrying 25kg's of kit. Brad was one of the 750 to do it. Keaton and I went along to show our support. Keaton LOVED it, he had a grin on his face the entire time, he is absolutely besotted with Firemen and Fire Trucks.

Keaton loves playing with my phone. I have a folder of apps for him with educational games etc. He knows where the folder is, and can navigate around my phone really well (for a 2 year old). However, he has not managed to work out how to unlock it yet (I have tried to get him to do the whole finger print thing, but its easier said than done), so if he wants to play a game and my phone is locked, he just pushes buttons... so he was doing that, and this happened. Luckily after a while, it let me put my code in and was fine, but I still got a shock when I saw it.
Sunday morning breakfast courtesy of Keaton, He loves playing in his little kitchen, and I often get a cup of tea, so this was a nice change. |
Its my mums birthday today, so we all went over to my parents house yesterday for tea. I made a chocolate cake, and it looked fine in the oven, but when I took it out, it had gone like a brownie, it was definitely cooked, but looked all gooey, and was crumbly. So I did what any good baker does, cover it in sprinkles and icing, and hope that nobody notices. Apparently it was good, and everyone survived, so couldn't have been that bad.

Finally to end off the weekend, I was asked for ID when I was at the grocery store yesterday. Brad had some beer in the trolley, and as I was paying for them, the lady asked me for my ID, I suppose I should take it as a compliment, but being 29 years old, I hardly think I look like a teenager.
Apparently I have a baby face!
Until next week!
Hi Claire. Nice to meet you. I participate in a weekly blog hop for gratitude. If you get a chance, check it out at summat2thinkon.wordpress.com. All the participants list ten things each week for what they are grateful. It's been going on a long time. I joined in almost a year ago. We'd love to have you.
ReplyDeleteHi Val, thanks for stopping by my blog, will head on over and check it out now, I do like blog hops :-)
