Christmas and DIY's are two of my favourite things, so when my mum said she was on the look out for a new wreath - I was like "um YES I will make one" - I also needed something to do for this post, as I am joining 12 other Kiwi Mummy Bloggers in a "12 days of Christmas Blog Collaboration".

Yes I am Pregnant, and No I don't care for your dumb questions.
23 February 2016
Do you often get asked questions when you are pregnant, and you think to yourself really? You had to go and ask that? Well lately I have been asked some really "dumb" (well they are to me) questions, so thought I would share them below -
There are more, but I thought I would start with my top 10 most annoying ones:
Oh wow you're pregnant again - um yes my first child is nearly 3, and I was not aware that I had to inform you of my plans to have another baby. You make it sound like I do this for a living!
Do you know what you are having? It looks like you are having a xxx - No we don't know what we are having, and if we wanted to know we would know, thanks for your totally scientifically calculated guess though, you have a 50% chance of being correct.
You look way better this time around - really? so all those compliments you paid me last time were just lies - how can I believe what you are saying now then?
Isn't the heat getting to you? How you do it I don't know! - I just get on with it, its not like there is no summer when you are not pregnant, and yes its a little bit hotter, but honestly you just deal with it.
You look massive - WOW I would not have thought carrying a baby would change the way I look in anyway.
I hope you don't have the baby at work - yes because that is my lifelong goal, and like I have any control over when he wants to come out.
If your baby came early last time, then this one will come even earlier - Oh please! This baby has no idea when the last one came out, I'm pretty positive he will come out when he wants to, but again thanks for the scientific calculation.
Are you ready to have no sleep again? I'm pretty sure I gave up the right to sleep when I had my first child thanks, I manage on limited sleep as it is, so I am sure I will manage.
When are you having the next one? Do you mind me having this one first, come on. And who is to even say we will have another one, and if we did, it would not be any of your business.
You chose the wrong time to get pregnant. Why? because I am pregnant in the summer? Does it really make that much of a difference when I am pregnant? Should I not just be grateful that I am pregnant in the first place?
I don't mean to sound ungrateful, and maybe I should appreciate the fact that people are interested in my pregnancy, but seriously, think before you speak people! ( I blame this post on pregnancy hormones - I am not normally this bitchy, okay well sometimes, but still it's the hormones).

Have you been asked anything really stupid?
Kiwi Mummy Blogs Review - Heinz and Watties little kids range
18 July 2015
Kids can be so fussy sometimes especially when it comes to food. Keaton has always been a great eater and will eat pretty much anything. However as he gets older, he is becoming slightly more fussy especially around dinner time.
Things I loved about this product:
Things I love about these:
I have always been a fan of the Wattie's and Heinz little kids range of packaged/convenience products because I am working mum. I don't always have time to make precooked meals and snacks for the weekdays, that are actually healthy. I am all about convenience and simplicity. The Wattie's little kids range, and the Heinz little kids range are complete from breakfast on the go, to mid day snacks and dinner meals.
The team at Kiwi Mummy blogs asked me Keaton to review some products from both of these ranges, and here are our thoughts on some of the things we tried:
Brekky to go - Heinz little kids
I have actually not seen these yet, so was excited to see what Keaton thought about them. The verdict - success, he was sick over the weekend and these little packs were just the right thing for him. I like that you can just pop one in your bag for a morning snack, or as a quick 'on the go' breakfast. And they are great for those days when you have a fussy eater who doesn't want to eat what you have made. Hell they are even good for dinners.

Keaton is also lactose intolerant, so I have to be careful what I give him. While these do contain milk, it did not affect him at all - so another plus here!
Things I loved about this product:
- Contains no added salt
- Contains no artificial flavours, colours, or preservatives
- Naturally sweetened with apple juice
- Great for on the go days
- They are available in 2 flavours Banana, Oats with Cinnamon and Berry and Pear Muesli, with Greek style yoghurt.
Fruit & Veg SHREDZ - Heinz Little Kids
I have been a fan of these for ages, and they are something that are a staple in my handbag. Keaton absolutely loves them. We don't always have fresh fruit in the house, so these are a perfect addition to his lunches. They are super handy for those grocery shopping outings because they make no mess and there are enough of them to last him most of the shop, they are also handy for car trips because they make NO mess!

Things I love about these:
- Contains no added or artificial colours
- Contains no artificial flavours, sugars, preservatives or salt
- Made from 99% Fruit and Veg
- Perfectly sized for little fingers, and help with fine motor skills
- They are available in 2 flavours Berries, Apples and Veg, and Peach, Apple and Veg
- 5 sachets are in the box, and the packaging is super cute
Sometimes we get home late from work etc, and Keaton is grumpy from daycare, and there is just not enough time to cook dinner in time. Here is where these little canned beauties are amazing. Our go to flavour (and by far Keaton's favourite) is the Pasta Chicken and Vegetables.
I always make sure I have at least 2 in the pantry because there are bound to be one of "those" days at least once a week.
From this range, I was sent the macaroni and meatballs flavours to try. I had bought this flavour once when Keaton was just over one and he refused to eat the meatballs (I think at the time he didn't have enough teeth to chew them), so I steered away from that flavour. He tried it over the weekend and devoured it (which I am totally shocked about because he isn't overly fond of meat). This flavour will defiantly be added to the pantry collection.
- They come in 9 different flavours
- Contain no artificial colours or preservatives
- The serving size is perfect for little tummies
- Super easy to get ready, just heat and eat (well take it out of the tin too)
- You can pick these up at most grocery stores for under $3.00NZD
Check out the For Baby website, they have some AMAZING recipes and information on the whole Heinz and Wattie's range, and you can also have a look at the rest of the range too. How did I not know about this website sooner?
*** A Huge thanks to the team at Wattie's for sending us these to review - our job was made a whole lot easier because your range is one of our favourites already. ***
{Blog} K is for Kiwi Mummy Blogs
13 April 2015
I stumbled upon Kiwi Mummy Blogs a few months after my debut as a blogger (well I like to think it
was a debut). I had seen some American blogger communities and wondered if
there was anything out there for Kiwi Mums.
This community has
been amazing, I love being able to hop on and see all my favourite kiwi
bloggers in one place, and also find new ones. I have already made some awesome
new blogger friends, who’s blogs have inspired me to try new things, not only
with my blog, but in my everyday life too.
This site has so many cool things all in
one place, I love looking at the “our friends tab” to find out about new
products and services relevant to NZ – thanks to this tab, I have a new found
love for the Kids Zip Sheets – I had seen something similar on YouTube (but with duvet covers), and wondered
if something like this was sold in New Zealand. I was so excited to find out
that we do have something similar – and I can’t wait until Keaton is in his big
boy bed, so I can get one for him. (okay off track a bit)
Anyway – if you have not already, check
out Kiwi Mummy Blogs – fantastic community, fantastic platform, and fantastic Mummy’s.
If you are not already - follow me here:
As I am travelling I will have to skip the letters L,M and N but will be back with the letter O on friday!
