Weekly Wind Up /Monthly Mayhem Update #8

Weekly Wind Up, Maybe I should rename it monthly something.
As with most of the series I try and start, I seem to fail at maintaining them. There is always something more “important” that seems to come along and take up my blogging time. Currently it’s a 2.5 year old and a 36 week bump that have me tied up all the time.
I just can’t seem to find the time to blog, let alone keep up with my weekly posts, and it’s the beginning of March. What I am going to be like for the other 9+ months?

Here is a very quick update on what has been happening in my life and with my pregnancy over the last few weeks – apologies for the novel.

Bump
I am down to weekly midwife appointments now – which is scary because it means the end is near… like really near, like any day now. I am not ready – I am still working, so this little guy better stay inside for 4 more weeks. I have to have more bloods taken this week. I am not looking forward to that. My iron levels are apparently almost non-existent, so my mum is freaking out (she is a neonatal nurse) – so good to have around when it comes to all things baby, but man – she is giving me such a hard time about my iron. Okay so normal levels are anywhere from 12 – 120, when I fell pregnant mine were 99, at 30 weeks they were less than 6… ooops – I can see where she is coming from, but I am taking iron tablets, the problem is, I can’t eat normal size meals anymore, because when I do, I get sick ,and then I get heartburn, and then the iron tablet does not stay down, so it’s been really hard. I have finally figured out that I need to eat really small meals throughout the day, and then slightly larger at dinner time, and then I can manage the iron tablet. Fingers crossed that the blood tests are good on Wednesday and that my levels have increased.

Hospital bags are all packed, and I even managed to pack a toddler bag in case we need to leave in a hurry, so I am slightly organised there. The baby room is also nearing completion, although I don’t enjoy going in there at the moment because I just get overwhelmed with what I still need to do.

As you can see from the image below - it looks like I am carrying a watermelon. Well from this angle anyway - when I am standing it literally looks like I have shoved a basketball in there, because its this perfectly round ball shape.

Everything Else
I am in the process of planning a third birthday party, even though the birthday is only near the end of April – but there is no way I will be able to plan it any other time. So I have had everything I need printed, and just need to assemble, and buy the rest of the stuff, and then it’s all systems go. I also turn 30 (on the same day as my toddler turns 3) – but I have decided to push my party out a few months, so at least it will give me a bit of time to plan, and a bit of a break.

We bought a bread maker – now I just need to figure out how to use it. I am contemplating getting pre-mix bread mixes, just because I can’t be bothered measuring out little bits of this and that, and putting them in a certain way, so think it will be easier to just get the pre-mix – I shall keep you updated on the progress of my bread making.Girlonamissi0n - Weekly Update
I love taking pictures of Keaton - his poses are so cheeky! Girlonamissi0n - Weekly Update
I guest posted on 2 of my bloggy friends blogs  (Teacher by Trade Mother by Nature, and Mummy do it) over the last 2 weeks, you can read all about what I did here and here. I also blogged about the stupid things I have been asked while pregnant, so definitely check those out.

Although I am really bad at blogging, and I suspect it’s only going to get worse as the closer it gets to the babies arrival – I am still quite active on social media – so don’t forget to follow me on there and keep up to date with my going on’s.

Until the next update – xxx

Weekly Wind Up #6

Welcome to week #5 of my weekly wind up – a weekly recap of the things I have gotten up to. If you are new to my Blog – Welcome, it’s so nice to have you stop by. If you would like to find out more about me, click here, and don’t forget to follow me on social media where I am a lot more active in posting updated content.

Doing: Firstly apologies for this being 3 days late, I was a bridesmaid over the weekend and it all caught up with me on sunday and monday, so I have been taking it easy, and have finally caught up with everything else in my life, so not its time to spend some more time on my blog.

Snapping: Attempting to carry on with my @FMSphotoaday Challenge -have a look on my Instagram to see what pics I took - (well there were none for this week... ooops)
Here is the rest of my week in pictures.

We found this fab little park in a new housing development, its super cute, the blue thing in the picture is a massive slide that slides all the way down from the top to the playground, Keaton had a blast going down there, and playing in the houses, and also on the boat. We will definitely be going back there.
This was the oven at our Bach. Our Bach was from the 1970's - I honestly don't think they had changed anything. It was really cute and "cottagey", but man - I was too scared to use the oven, it was bad enough using the stove and shower.

The above are all from the wedding. I loved my flowers, they smelt amazing, and went well with the whole wedding theme. I will post more pictures once the professional ones come out.  Hubby had to wear his fire uniform, poor guys were so hot, luckily it was a casual beach wedding, so they all changed into shorts afterwards.

Lastly, my midwife has me drinking kiwi crush to help with me being on iron tablets, need I say more ... - it looks a lot worse than it is, Keaton asked me why I was drinking poop when I drank it.

Looking Forward to: We have our maternity shoot this weekend. And although its a different photographer than we had with Keaton, she is doing it at the same beach as Keaton's shoot, so super excited for that.

Weekly Wind Up Week #5

Doing: As little as possible - well besides work. I'm really struggling at the moment with the heat and my ever expanding belly, its making doing things really hard. Add on that a busy toddler, and I am absolutely shattered. I am now counting down the days until my maternity leave starts, so I can hopefully relax and take it easy.

I did get more of the baby room done, and nearly all of his clothes are washed and put away, so we are getting there. Next is to pack the hospital bags.

Here is the rest of my week in pictures.

We made cupcakes - and I had this cutie helping me. He took great delight in showing me that he was only wearing his apron. He was actually really good at the mixing process - and even managed to ice and decorate some of the cupcakes. Think this will have to become a regular thing in our house hold.

I can't believe that I am in my 33rd week of pregnancy - its gone super fast. I have not done a bump date in a few weeks, so need to get back into that, as I love looking back at them.
Looking Forward to: This is a short week for me, we have a public holiday here tomorrow, and then I am on leave on Friday - as we are off to a wedding. I am a bridesmaid, hopefully the weather is not too hot, as its a beach wedding, so don't want to be passing out half way through the ceremony. Its also a childless weekend (well besides the baby - he doesn't really get a say) - Keaton is spending the weekend with my parents, so will be good to get away before the baby comes.

Weekly Windup #4

Welcome to week #4 of my weekly wind up – a weekly recap of the things I have gotten up to. If you are new to my Blog – Welcome, it’s so nice to have you stop by. Doing: We celebrated a friends Hens night on Saturday - we went to Encore (it's a cabaret and entertainment place) - it was great, I have never been to something like that before, so had a fab time. Even got to watch some strippers in action (apologies in advance for the semi porno picture of that lap dance - (I'm here to share, so its only fair to add it in too).

We are still sorting out the babies room - there is always something to do in there, and I feel as though time is ticking and I am standing still - hopefully it will be done by next week. I have managed to make lists of what needs to be packed in our hospital bags, so we moving in the right direction.
Its also been super hot here, so its really hard to get motivated to do anything - apparently its sticking around this week, which means more sleepless nights and sweat!!! EWE!!!!

Snapping: Carrying on with my @FMSphotoaday Challenge -have a look on my Instagram to see what pics I took - my January attempt was a bit dismal, I think I only managed to post one picture from the challenge last week. February is a new month, with new pictures, so here's hoping I can complete the months challenges.

Here is the rest of my week in pictures - naturally most of them are of Keaton.
We can't go out without him taking "Janine" with him, and she has to be swaddled. This particular day was very sunny out, so he insisted on wearing my sunnies.

He has started saying his prayers this way now - its super cute, and he knows to say them before he eats, which saves me reminding him to say them.

Out and about at our local new hang out - he absolutely loves this place. He met a boy there yesterday and they were racing around the track together.

After work swims at our local beach - love this place.
Buying: I managed to only spend $2 this week - (well on purchases other than the essentials) - and it wasn't even something for me. Again it came from my handy Kmart, and is this super cute plate for Keaton.
