Here is a super quick recipe that I found on the Chelsea Sugar Website. Lets face it, who doesn't like a quick homemade biscuit, and if you have seen any of my other recipes, you will know, If they are not quick, or 3 ingredients, I don't even bother with them.
Ingredients:
- 200g softened butter
½ cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 ¼ cups of plain flour
¼ cup cocoa
1 ½ cups cornflakes (I ended up using 2 cups)
- Preheat your oven to 180°C.
Beat butter, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Sift in the flour and cocoa, add the cornflakes then stir thoroughly until the mixture is combined.
Place heaped teaspoonfuls onto a greased baking tray and bake for 15-20 minutes.
For the topping, I just melted chocolate and spooned it on top - you can also make a icing to pour over them.
I love how quick these are to make, I have been making them weekly, I make them medium size, so am getting around 20, which last 2 days in our house, if we are lucky.
Yum ... will be trying this :)
ReplyDeleteI am the world's worst baker (ask Emmy, she'll sell me out) but we'll give these a go because a) they're my favourite treat EVER and b) because I'm hungry right now haha
ReplyDeleteI don't bake unless it's super easy - I think these are fail proof :) let me know how you get on :)
DeleteYum, these sound delicious Claire. I might have to give a gluten free version a go...
ReplyDeleteOoooh - and you can get gluten free corn flakes now too - so super easy :) I'm going to be making another batch today - they seem to be my weekend staple these days :)

ReplyDeleteThanks - :) it's about the only thing I get a chance to bake at the moment :p
DeleteBaking's got to be really simple for me too! These look great - might have to add them to my (very small) repertoire!
