{All Things Kids} Kids Summer Bucket List



As we approach winter in the southern hemisphere, it’s hard to get my head around it being summer in the northern hemisphere. I think I need to become one of those people who spend 6 months in the north and 6 in the south, so I will always be in warm weather. On that note, here are 10 things I want to cross off my list to do with Keaton when summer finally comes to our hemisphere.



1. Trips to beach

2. Make a sandpit in the garden and a digger to play on (Uta's Adventure Family)



3. Craft days



Finger painting (Happy Mum Happy Child)




Paint with cars (Hands On: As We Grow)




Spray Bottle liquid Chalk (Growing in a jeweled Rose)


4. Go to the Zoo

5. Family trail walks

6. Go to an animal farm

7. Outdoor water play  
Water walls (P is for Preschooler)




Pool Noodle Water Wall ( Teaching Mama)




Paint the driveway (Hands on as we grow)


8. Plant a veggie garden -our garden currently has one tree 

9. Let Keaton dress me for a day (he loves choosing what he wants to wear, so why not let him decide what I wear

10. Christmas themed craft making session(Christmas is during summer in the southern hemisphere)
Advent Calendar out of baby food jars (Teacher by Trade Mother by Nature)


Homemade Wrapping Paper



Night Before Christmas box (Oh my!Creative)
DIY wall Christmas tree ( Toddler approved)
Tree ornaments (a little craft DIY)

      No worries Charlene, its a fab idea, I like that you can reuse it and put things inside that are specific to the child and not just boring chocolates. Off to read your blog post now :)

    As I told Charlene, I didn't even think about it being winter elsewhwere int he world! It is hard to imagine the sesaons being so different. This sounds like a great list, though, and I hope it will give you something to look forward to as you get through winter!

      Thanks Lisa, I know its crazy how things are so different, yet we are all living on the same planet! Look forward to doing these activities when it finally gets warmer here.

    Such wonderful ideas! It is so amazing to hear about other parts of the world. Finger painting was always so fun as a kid. We love going for walks with the kids, though they are not always so thrilled by the end! LOL! Have a great week!

      Thanks Stacey, I almost want to make some finger paints and keep them for me to use! There is something satisfying about not using a paint brush to paint :-)

    Such cute projects I love the water walls and the noodle one, too. I taught Preschool until recently and paining with anything besides brushes is always a hit!

    I can't believe it's practically summer but loving it, much more to do outdoors with kids! I love that spaghetti sensory box, will have to add that to our bucket list. Thanks for all the fun ideas :)
