For those of you that don’t follow me on social media, we
are expecting our second baby.
Keaton is 2.5 years, so thought it would be a
good age gap – he will be a couple of weeks shy of 3 when the baby comes, so
will be super exciting.
As with Keaton, I have had really bad morning sickness,
this time it seems to be much worse, in that I have been having to take morning
sickness tablets every morning so I can function. The positive however, is that
I seem to be able to manage without them now, which is great, as I was sick
with Keaton until 20 weeks. Fingers crossed this is the end of it.
I have been taking pictures, (when I remember) of my
little growing bump – which I have say is popping out quicker than it did with
Keaton (I guess it’s already all stretched from him).
We have decided to call “it” Terry – now it won’t be the
babies name, but I don’t like calling it well “it” and with Keaton, we called
him “Baby R”, and we can’t call this one “Baby R squared”, so Terry it is!!!!
We managed to keep the secret for 14 weeks, which is
really good for me, because I can’t keep quiet about most things. This was how
we announced it to our friends:
Here is an update on my 14th week of pregnancy with baby #2 - will have a pic next week. I will be doing a
weekly update on what is happening in my pregnancy (wooohooo I finally have
something to blog about – I have had a bit of a block for a while). So if you
want to read how my 14th week has been, keep reading.
How far along: 14 weeks
This week in 3 words: Happy, Excited, Nervous
Stretch marks: nope
Movement: no
Currently craving: chocolate and pretzels - together
Total weight gain: have actually lost 4 kg's :(
Maternity clothes: wearing maternity bra's - my boobs have already out grown my normal bra's and let's face it maternity bras are comfy. Also wearing maternity jeggings purely because they are comfy / I wore them when I wasn't prego too.
Sleep: last week was the first week I managed to stay up past 8pm – so things are looking up
Best moment this week: Hearing the heart beat
Miss anything? Biltong (it’s a south African thing – its raw dried meat, totally don’t hate it until you have tried it).
Gender: no idea
Symptoms: Had really bad morning sickness, still get a little, but don’t need to take my meds anymore
Labour signs: no
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Looking forward to: my next scan at 20 weeks – we are debating if we want to find out the gender, I am team no, brad is team yes. GRRRRRR
Yaye for Baby Bump updates :) Congrats again my friend :)
