Easy Kids Paint Recipes

Kids love to paint, hell I love to paint. For me the thing that sucks about paint is that it doesn’t last long. Let’s face it, kids don’t care about wasting things, or making sure the lid is on when they are done.
My son is at the age now where his creativity is peaking, and he really likes to paint. I am becoming more conscious of the nasty chemicals in things now that I am a mum, and especially as most things he touches end up in his mouth.
Below are 5 of my most favourite and easiest paint recipes, from sidewalk/driveway paint, to bath time paint, edible paint,  to paint that goes on paper. Whatever your painting requirements, a recipe is below:

SIDEWALK CHALK PAINT - Learn Play Imagine has this super easy recipe, I am so going to try this when it gets warmer.
HOMEMADE BATH PAINT – this is great, and what’s even better is that it consists of 2 ingredients. I tried this with shaving gel and it did not work too well, so definitely make it with shaving cream. (check out Having Fun at homes recipe)
FINGER PAINT - This recipe for finger paint by Red Ted Art is so easy, again its one I will be adding to my list to make when I finally have a weekend where I don't have to go somewhere.
EDIBLE BABY PAINT - This recipe by Hands on as we grow is great. It uses mashed up foods and food colouring, so is great for small kiddies who are too small to use normal paints, and the great thing about this, is that they can eat it too.
The Imagination Tree also has a edible paint recipe - however I don't think eating this in large quantities would be advisable.
FACE PAINT - Fancy making face paint?  Growing a jewelled rose shows you how to make 3 ingredient face paint... 3 ingredients, I'm all for that! This would be great for a birthday party - and is super cheap - and you actually know what has gone into it.

There are hundreds of different recipes out there for different painting occasions, these are just some I would like to, or have tried and loved. Do you have a favourite easy paint recipe?
